Our Retreat
LOCATED IN THE LOVELY VILLAGE OF PÓVOA DE PENAFIRME
About 50 mins from Lisbon Airport. Póvoa has a pharmacy, a post office, various cafés, fruit shops, a bakery and small supermarkets for everyday needs. The city of Torres Vedras is a 20 min drive away, the holiday village Santa Cruz can be reached within 20 minutes walking. The area here offers fascinating nature with a long and empty coastline. From our house to the beach it is less than 10 minutes walking and some of the rooms even have sea view!
OUR HOUSE FEATURES 5 BEDROOMS WITH PRIVATE BATHROOM
On the first floor our house features 5 complete bedrooms with private bathroom, all equipped with a good mattress on a double bed (1.60m). The rooms are spacious, bright and designed for your comfort.
THE GROUND FLOOR
On the ground floor you can find a common bathroom, the kitchen, dining and living room where we all get together to eat and converse.
THE YOGA STUDIO
The yoga studio is situated on the ground floor, next to the kitchen, dining and living room and a common bathroom. Hatha Yoga classes always take place in the morning, before breakfast. Since it will be early and some of you might do Yoga for the first time, don`t worry: the classes are for everyone. The evening sessions will be focusing on different styles of meditation, stretches or Yin Yoga. Yoga improves your flexibility and physical condition and that’s how it is mostly perceived in the Western world. At 4elements we want to show you that Yoga can be so much more.
THE GARDEN
The garden unfolds over 2500 sqm. The outside area offers a huge variety of vegetables, fruit and herbs and is home to many birds, butterflies, our chicken and cats. Since we have a big garden with our own fruit and vegetables, those will be our main ingredients for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Everything that can`t be produced by our hens and the farm is bought locally. We prefer short transports and local farms and shops over strictly buying everything organic, since many organic products in Portugal are imported. If you have any intolerances, allergies or dislike some ingredient or food, please let us know during your booking. Please note that a gluten free diet will be charged 25€ extra.
